Denis McCullough was destined to become a designer. She was born into a family who excelled in creative pursuits and she spent her childhood in an area of the country known for its appreciation of intellectual pursuits and good design. Her mother was a successful copywriter in Manhattan for many years before she left to manage a well-known high-end furniture store.
